Take part in Calming the Chaos: A research study of a student wellness program

Do you want to learn ways to find greater balance in your life? To feel less stressed, be kinder to yourself and experience more gratitude? Join Dr. Alyson Gerdes, professor of psychology in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, and Dr. Nakia Gordon, associate professor of psychology in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, on a six-week wellness journey.

Open to all Marquette students, the program will focus on practices of relaxation, yoga, gratitude/self-compassion and more. It will take place on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Schroeder Complex 112. Two groups will take place during the spring semester. The first group will start late January and the second group will start late March. Students will be randomly assigned to a group.

To sign up, e-mail wholepersonwellness@marquette.edu with the subject line “Interested in student wellness” and include your name and preferred contact number in the body of the email. A brief phone screener is needed to be enrolled.
