Online graduate programs in nursing, computing ranked in top 25 nationally by U.S. News & World Report

January 24, 2023

U.S. News & World Report today released its 2023 Best Online Programs rankings. Two Marquette programs are recognized among the top 25 nationally.

The College of Nursing’s online program moved up in the rankings this year among Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs, coming in at 21, up 17 spots from 38 last year. The college’s online program was also ranked 14th in the Nursing Administration/Leadership specialty category.

Marquette’s Master’s in Computing program is ranked 20 for 2023; the program was ranked 14 last year. It’s noteworthy that U.S. News added eight schools to its Master’s in Computing program rankings this year for an additional 20 schools over the past two years.

“To continue to have our online graduate programs recognized by U.S. News emphasizes Marquette’s commitment to adapt and enhance our online offerings as we continuously seek to better serve our diverse student body and meet the needs of businesses and organizations looking to attract and retain talent in high-demand fields,” Provost Kimo Ah Yun says.

According to U.S. News, the best online master’s programs are based on factors such as admissions selectivity, faculty credentials and academic and career support services offered to students. The methodology for IT rankings and the methodology for nursing rankings are available on U.S. News’ website.
