Marquette University mourns the loss of Tina Boyle Whyte

Marquette University mourns the loss of Tina Boyle Whyte, assistant professor of practice of computer science in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, who passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19.

Tina joined the Marquette faculty in 2019 after previously serving in the United States Air Force Reserves for 30 years. Throughout her military career, Tina provided leadership development training to over 700 reservists throughout the United States.

At Marquette, Tina taught hundreds of computer science students, in addition to leading the computer science service-learning course, working with ROTC and the EOP program, and other outreach efforts.

Tina is survived by her husband, Wayne. Her full obituary is available online.

The visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 30, from 9 to 11 a.m., with service to follow at Christian Faith Fellowship Church (8605 W. Good Hope Rd.).
