The fourth-seeded and No. 16 women’s volleyball team will face No. 13 Georgia Tech in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. in the Al McGuire Center.
The Golden Eagles defeated Ball State in straight sets Thursday (25-20, 25-17, 25-17) to advance to the second round. Georgia Tech advanced by defeating Wright State in straight sets in a prior match at the Al McGuire Center. The winner of this match will advance to the Sweet 16.

This year marks Marquette’s 11th NCAA trip in the last 12 seasons. Marquette’s lone absence in the NCAA bracket was in the spring of 2021 due to a reduced tournament field.
