A task force has spent the past year considering whether Marquette’s current tenure and promotion system adequately accounts for the full portfolio of impactful faculty activities and now seeks faculty input through focus groups and listening sessions. Task force members are interested in learning from faculty at all levels about the extent to which they believe the current tenure and promotion system works and how the system might be improved.
Focus Groups: Tenured or tenure-track faculty members interested in participating in a focus group should send an e-mail to Lori Montezon, administrative assistant in the Office of the Provost, indicating the session they’d like to attend (sessions are organized by rank). All focus groups will be capped at 10 participants and held in the Center for Teaching and Learning Conference Room (R320).
