The Marquette Core Curriculum (MCC) Committee presents the MCC Teaching Excellence Award annually to recognize faculty for outstanding contributions to student learning in the MCC.

The awardee will be selected for effective approaches to course design and delivery that have an extraordinary positive impact on students’ progress toward one or more of the MCC’s six learning outcomes: responsible and ethical communicators, moral and ethical actors, citizens with purpose, collaborators engaging social systems and values, leaders in discovery, and global problem solvers.

All instructors — full-time tenure and tenure track as well as full-time and part-time non-tenure track faculty — who taught at least one MCC course in 2022 are eligible for consideration.

Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2023 award.

Students, faculty colleagues and department chairs can nominate faculty online through Feb. 15, 2023. Self-nominations are not accepted.
