The campus community is invited to celebrate the Marquette volleyball team as it departs from the Al McGuire Center for its trip to the Sweet 16 on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The team will be departing through the Walk of Champions at 12:30 p.m. Please arrive at the Al McGuire lobby by 12:15 p.m.
The Golden Eagles will face the top-seeded Texas Longhorns on Thursday, Dec. 8, at approximately 1 p.m. (match begins 30 minutes after the conclusion of an 11 a.m. match between Ohio State and Minnesota) in Austin, Texas. Marquette is making its second appearance in the Sweet 16 and first since 2018.
Marquette advanced with a pair of straight-set victories at the Al McGuire Center. The Golden Eagles defeated Ball State Thursday, Dec. 1, and No. 5 Georgia Tech on Friday, Dec. 2.
