Volleyball to host Ball State in first round of NCAA Tournament Dec. 1

The women’s volleyball team earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament and will host a regional pod for the first time since 2018 when it welcomes Ball State to the Al McGuire Center for a first round match on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Marquette will also host fifth-seeded Georgia Tech and Wright State on Thursday and the winner of each matchup in Friday’s second round at 6 p.m. The Georgia Tech/Wright State match is slated for 4 p.m. on Thursday and Marquette’s match will follow at roughly 7 p.m.

Tickets are available for both single sessions and all sessions.

The Golden Eagles are the BIG EAST Conference regular season co-champions and fell in five sets to then-No. 15 Creighton in the BIG EAST title match. This year marks Marquette’s 11th NCAA trip in the last 12 seasons. Marquette’s lone absence in the NCAA bracket was in the spring of 2021 due to a reduced tournament field.
