Ott Memorial Writing Center hosts annual ‘Writer Fight Club’

The Ott Memorial Writing Center will be hosting this year’s Writer Fight Club on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. in Lalumiere 292.

The Writer Fight Club is an event in which participants read as a writer (novelist, poet, nonfiction writer, musician, screenwriter, etc.) and choose a sizeable set of quotes from them. Then the Ott Memorial Writing Center will create matches bracket-style like March Madness, and participants will deliver some of their excerpts. The audience decides who moves to the next round.

Those interested in participating in the event should sign up online. Those not interested in participating are still encouraged to attend.

Please feel free to reach out to Matthew Burchanoski, graduate assistant of English in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, with any questions or concerns.
