The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) will showcase the exciting research being done at Marquette on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms.
In celebrating research across campus, the ORSP Forward Thinking Research Symposium provides opportunities to learn more about work being done in other disciplines and fosters professional skills for students.
Unlike traditional conferences, where researchers convey the results of work that has been completed, the Forward Thinking presentations focus on projects that will take place in the next six to 12 months.
The event will begin with a brief welcome and introduction by President Michael R. Lovell. Then the presenters will present their project in one of two rooms set up in the AMU Ballrooms.
Attendees will be able to see presentations in person or view them virtually via streaming on Teams.
When the oral presentations are done, the event will wrap up with a reception, which includes tables hosted by some of Marquette’s centers and institutes, a list of curated funding opportunities and space to continue research conversation around the supplemental posters of our oral presenters.
Event agenda overview:
- 1 p.m. to 1:10 p.m.: Welcome and introduction by Dr. Lovell
- 1:15 p.m. to 2:45: Oral presentations (set up in two rooms in the AMU; streaming will be available)
- 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Reception and poster presentation
Please RSVP online if interested in attending in person or virtually. Teams meeting details to stream the oral presentations (needed if attending virtually) will be emailed to all registrants prior to the event.
