Marquette employees recently received an email or mailed communication from TIAA, Marquette’s 403(b) plan administrator, regarding fee changes being implemented in early December 2022. The letter was sent by TIAA prematurely and unfortunately missed the important headline: that the university’s Retirement Plan Committee successfully negotiated a reduction in recordkeeping and administrative fees for Marquette 403(b) plan participants.
What this means for you: In addition to lower recordkeeping and administration fees, it will now be clearer to you how the 403(b) plan fees are allocated to your account, as they will be shown separately on your statements. These changes reflect the Marquette Retirement Plan Committee’s ongoing commitment to the financial health of our plan and our employees.
