In honor of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, the Institute for Women’s Leadership and the 707 Hub will host the first WE Are the Difference half-day conference on Friday, Nov. 18, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Join for an afternoon of networking, exploring the entrepreneurial mindset and celebrating a wide array of local women entrepreneurs.
The workshop will include a keynote address from Kristie Hall, founder and CMO of True Grace Health; a workshop on discerning your entrepreneurial spirit led by Marquette’s own Dr. Elizabeth Angeli, associate professor of English in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences; and a panel discussion featuring amazing female entrepreneurs:
- Stephanie Sorrina Beecher of The White Agency
- Olivia Menzia of Liv a Little Ice Cream
- Barbara Cerda of La Revo Books
The conference will be moderated by Marquette alumna and creator of Toy Tips, Marianne Syzmanski.
An assortment of snacks will be provided by local, women-owned restaurants and catering companies.
While the event highlights women entrepreneurs, they welcome and strongly encourage attendees of all genders to join us in this celebration of creativity and learn more about how an entrepreneurial mindset can be a valuable tool for everyone.
Register online by Monday, Nov. 14, at 4 p.m.
