2023-24 tuition, room and board rate changes announced

November 3, 2022

At Marquette University, ensuring our students receive a world-class, transformative Catholic, Jesuit education alongside a world-class co-curricular experience is our top priority. To do this, we must constantly balance the economic realities that currently impact higher education while continuing to do our best to mitigate costs to students in this changing landscape.

Undergraduate tuition and room and board rates for 2023-24

With this in mind, we have thoughtfully considered necessary changes to our tuition rate. The Board of Trustees has approved a 4% undergraduate tuition increase for the 2023-24 academic year, bringing undergraduate tuition to $47,690.

Room and board rates will also increase an average of 4% for the 2023-24 academic year to account for improvements to residence and dining facilities, as well as the rising costs of operations, food and other products. Additionally, the university will be increasing the student Wellness + Recreation fee to $150 per semester to best support ongoing, uninterrupted recreation and wellness services, and help fund the newly reimagined, world-class Wellness + Recreation facility and its programs, which will serve our students for decades to come.

Please visit marquette.edu/central for a complete listing of room and board rates and student fees.

We will continue to explore new and more efficient ways to manage costs, grow revenue streams and steward the university’s resources to best serve our students, the world around us and the greater glory of God. Please take a moment to learn more about the value of a Marquette education at marquette.edu/value.

Families that currently receive federal financial aid should complete the FAFSA form by Jan. 15, 2023, to ensure they are receiving all eligible aid. Please contact Marquette Central at (414) 288-4000 with any questions about the financial aid renewal process.
