The Office of the Provost has allocated $10,000 to be distributed to participating faculty for professional development activities during the 2022-23 academic year. These funds are the result of the work of the Participating Faculty Task Force to provide non-tenure-track faculty access to funds for professional development opportunities. An application process took place earlier this fall and in all, 23 applications were received and 21 were funded totaling nearly $9,000. Awards were distributed to participating faculty in six different colleges and schools. The professional development awards will help pay participating faculty for expenses to attend courses, workshops, trainings and conferences primarily designed to improve teaching and/or advance research and scholarship.
