SWIM hosts Dr. Nakia Gordon on emotion regulation in trauma, Oct. 6

Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM) will host Dr. Nakia Gordon, associate professor of psychology in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, for “The Importance of Emotion Regulation in Trauma and Everyday Functioning,” on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bradley Pavilion of the Marcus Performing Arts Center.

Gordon earned her doctorate in behavioral neuroscience at Bowling Green State University. While there, she studied emotion in both human and non-human animals using a variety of techniques. Her current research explores emotion, its regulation and how our physiology affects others.
