Sabbatical application and report deadline, Oct. 15

Faculty members who are eligible for a sabbatical in the 2023-24 academic year are reminded to submit their sabbatical plans to the Office of Faculty Affairs by Friday, Oct. 15.

The plan and CV should be sent to Lori Montezon, administrative assistant in the Office of the Provost.

Sabbatical plans must be approved by the unit dean or designated representative before submission. It is essential that faculty members submit their plans by the Oct. 15 deadline to allow enough time for academic units to coordinate schedule and staffing adjustments for the following academic year. Late applications will not be accepted.

Submitting sabbatical reports

Faculty members who completed a sabbatical during the 2021–22 academic year are reminded to submit their sabbatical reports to the Office of the Faculty Affairs by Friday, Oct. 15.

Sabbatical reports must also be approved by the unit dean or designated representative before submission. Reports should be sent to Montezon.

The Sabbatical Review Committee, comprised of eight tenured faculty members, reviews all plans and reports. More information about the sabbatical program as well as requirements for sabbatical plans and reports can be found on the Provost Office website.

Questions may be directed to Dr. Gary Meyer, senior vice provost for faculty affairs.
