Join Marquette Law School’s Andrew Center for Restorative Justice on Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Marquette Law School’s Lubar Room (room 144) for “The Healing Impact of Restorative Justice: A Victim Mother Shares Her Story.”
Prof. Janine P. Geske, distinguished professor of law and director of the Andrew Center for Restorative Justice, will hold a conversation with Dr. Mary Kay Balchunas, a mother whose son, a police officer, was killed in 2004 during an attempted armed robbery.
Dr. Balchunas will share her experience of restorative justice and how it has helped her heal. Prof. Geske will also discuss the basic concepts of victim-centered restorative justice.
