Humanities Without Walls information session, Sept. 27 

Marquette University and Humanities Without Walls (HWW) seeks applications from doctoral students pursuing degrees in the humanities and humanistic social sciences for the HWW Predoctoral Career Diversity Summer Workshop, to be held from July 17, 2023, to July 28, 2023, in Minneapolis.  

Please join HWW on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. for a virtual alumni and information session to learn more about the workshop and how to apply.

Hosted in 2023 by the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts, the HWW Predoctoral Career Diversity Summer Workshop is an intensive, student-centered career exploration program of values discernment and practical preparation for jobs in a variety of sectors, both beyond and within the academy.  

HWW’s cohort-based approach emphasizes student agency while giving attendees space to reflect on their professional journey.  

HWW staff will be joined by a panel of distinguished alumni: 

  • Brandon Render, HWW Fellow 2021, assistant professor of history at the University of Utah  
  • Caroline Marris, HWW Fellow 2017, postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University
  • Harshit Rathi, HWW Fellow 2021, Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota and technical writer at Medtronic
