Join the Interdisciplinary Major in International Affairs and the Department of Political Science for a free, two-part event to grow your global knowledge on Tuesday, Oct. 4. The event is open to all Marquette students, majors and Marquette alumni.
Registration is not required.
Part one: 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Gather in the Eckstein Commons and enjoy empanadas, raffle prizes and network with five international affairs alumni as well as student organizations offering international opportunities on the Marquette campus. Ask questions of other students who have pursued internships, study abroad experiences, honor societies and organizations with international relevance.
Part two: 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Gather in AMU 157 to hear Marquette alumna Suzanne McGuire ’94, deputy director of international affairs for the U.S. Navy, discuss “Pursuing a Career with an International Affairs Major.” A double-major in international affairs and political science with a minor in history, McGuire is an accomplished civil servant and serves in the senior ranks of the U.S. Department of Defense.
