Programs and events will be hosted on campus to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from Thursday, Sept. 15, through Saturday, Oct. 15.
Following are the scheduled events as of Sept. 15:
- Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff and Mexican Independence Day
- Friday, Sept. 16 | Noon, AMU second floor rotunda
- Join the Center for Engagement and Inclusion as Milwaukee’s Dance Academy of Mexico performs alongside food from Get It While It’s Hot Tamale.
- Noche de Herencia Hispana
- Saturday, Sept. 17 | 6 p.m., Engineering Hall
- Hosted by the Latin American Student Organization and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
- After meeting at Engineering Hall, take part in a march down to Valley Fields for men’s soccer’s 7 p.m. game against Yale.
- Fiesta de Noche
- Saturday, Sept. 24 | 8 p.m.-10:30 p.m., Ray and Kay Eckstein Common
- Hosted by the Gamma Beta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta
- Join for free food, cultural performances and a live DJ. All members of the Marquette community are welcome.
- Soup with Substance: Latino Arts Incorporated
