Anaerobic Treatment of High-Strength Industrial Wastes short course draws international audience of professionals and students

Ninety-seven professionals and students attended the 2022 Anaerobic Treatment short course hosted by Dr. Dan Zitomer, chair of civil, construction and environmental engineering in the Opus College of Engineering, on Tuesday, Sept. 13, and Wednesday, Sept. 14. Titled “Anaerobic Treatment of High-Strength Industrial Wastes,” the two-day program is designed to walk through the processes of anaerobic treatment, from fundamental principles to case histories.

Attendees were invited to attend in-person or online, making this the first time the program was offered synchronously to an on-campus and online audience. The audience was a near 50/50 split between modalities, and drew attendees from as far as Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada. This is the 21st offering of the Anaerobic Treatment short course at Marquette. Learn more about the program online.
