The Department of Human Resources has launched a new website that features notable changes to improve the user experience and recruit new team members.
An updated landing page was designed for a public audience. Current employees can access regularly used content using the link in the right navigation bar or under “Quick Links.”
Information is organized into four categories: benefits and wellness; development and growth; employee and supervisor resources; and policies, forms and notices.
Employees who use the HR website to clock in and out can do so by clicking on “Current Employees” and then “EmpCenter Login” from the sidebar under the Quick Links.
Early in the design process, the Human Resources team gathered feedback from employees that was used to help finalize the new site’s navigation. The HR team led a group of employees through a card sort in which they were asked to categorize about 45 unique HR topics into four or five groupings. This employee group’s input was instrumental in solidifying the structure of the site.
