Attend Orientation Family Mass, Aug. 25

An icon graphic representing the Formation of Hearts and Minds from the Beyond Boundries Strategic PlanMarquette invites all incoming first-year students, as well as their families and friends, to attend Orientation Family Mass on Thursday, Aug. 25, at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of the Gesu.

This annual liturgy is a time for prayer, worship, reflection and celebration as our first-year students arrive on campus, as well as an opportunity to invoke blessings and grace upon them and their families during this important transition. Rev. Jim Voiss, S.J., vice president for mission and ministry, will preside and Rev. Nathaniel Romano S.J., assistant director of campus ministry for liturgical programs, will preach.

All are welcome.

Following Mass, new students will join President Michael Lovell and other members of the academic community for the New Student Convocation from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Central Mall. Serving as a formal welcome to Marquette, new student (first-year and transfer) attendance is required. Family members are welcome to attend.

A full Orientation schedule is available on Marquette Today.
