Dr. Jessica Ogilvie has been named the new director of Marquette Business’s Center for Professional Selling, which was launched in September 2021.
Ogilvie, an associate professor of marketing, will begin in the role July 1. She will be responsible for the overall leadership of the center, succeeding current director Dr. Alex Milovic, assistant professor of practice in marketing.
Ogilvie and Milovic have worked closely together over the last several years to develop a concentration in professional selling.
“Dr. Ogilvie’s passion for sales is second only to her desire to see her students succeed. Her teaching innovations, industry outreach, and research impact bring a potent mix to Marquette University’s efforts to advance sales as an indispensable business discipline,” said Dr. Brian Spaid, chair and associate professor of marketing. “The Center for Professional Selling will be in excellent hands under her leadership. The college thanks Dr. Milovic for all he has done to lead this work so far.”
The Center for Professional Selling is the first Catholic, Jesuit university sales center, making Marquette University one of 60 member schools recognized by the University Sales Center Alliance.
Marquette Business added the professional selling major in 2020, and since the center’s inception a minor in professional selling has also been added.
