College of Business Administration expands its partnership with Waukesha County Technical College

The College of Business Administration and Office of Undergraduate Admissions announced an agreement with Waukesha County Technical College to create the first formal transfer pathway into Marquette’s undergraduate accounting program.

As a result of the agreement, students completing their associate of applied science – accounting degree at WCTC will be offered a mapped pathway towards a Bachelor of Science in accounting upon transferring to Marquette. The accounting agreement marks the fourth formal transfer agreement for WCTC students into the College of Business Administration.

“We are so excited to sign this new accounting transfer pathway agreement between Waukesha County Technical College and the College of Business Administration at Marquette University,” said Acting Keyes Dean Tim Hanley. “I see this new pathway as crucial to our mission because it broadens the types of students we can serve and will act as a more affordable on-ramp to a Marquette University bachelor’s degree. I hope we continue to see these types of agreements expand into a variety of disciplinary areas because it is good for our institutions and our students and is pivotal for talent development in our region.”

WCTC is one of 16 institutions within the Wisconsin Technical College System and serves more than 20,000 students on its Pewaukee and Waukesha campuses. WCTC continues to be a strong partner with established agreements in three of Marquette’s seven colleges. Marquette supports transfer within the state of Wisconsin through individual community college articulation agreements, various high school to college bridge programs and the WAICU Course Credit Transfer Agreement signed in summer 2020.

Marquette continues to identify strategic transfer partnerships with community colleges around the country. Visit the Undergraduate Admissions webpage for more information.
