Quarantine and isolation guidelines updated for residence hall students

In alignment with updated CDC guidance, the university is updating the quarantine and isolation guidelines for residence hall students to match the guidelines for the rest of our campus community.

This means that if a student living in a university residence hall tests positive for COVID-19, the isolation period can be shortened to five days if they are asymptomatic or symptoms are resolving and they do not have a fever.

If a residence hall student is in quarantine due to a close contact exposure, the quarantine period can be shortened if they are asymptomatic and have a negative PCR test that was collected on day five or later and has been verified by the Medical Clinic.
