Last Day to Register for Narrative 4 story exchange is March 23

The Symposium on Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice will engage participants in a “story exchange” facilitated by Marquette’s Narrative 4 student chapter on Friday, April 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The story exchange model pairs individuals to share stories that in some way define them. Afterwards, participants are responsible for telling their partner’s story in the first person. Narrative4’s Marquette student chapter and other certified Narrative4 facilitators will lead us by providing more context, modeling the story exchange, helping us build valuable active listening skills and guiding us through reflection.

All faculty, staff, students, alumni and other campus stakeholders are invited to take part in the conversation. Given the expectation of active participation that includes context-building, storytelling, and reflection, we ask that participants commit to attending the full program. Lunch will be provided.

Register online by March 23. For questions, contact Jacki Black, director of Hispanic initiatives and diversity and inclusion educational programming, at jacqueline.black@marquette.edu.
