Humanities Without Walls launches Grand Research Challenge seed grant opportunities

An icon graphic representing the Formation of Hearts and Minds from the Beyond Boundries Strategic PlanThe Humanities Without Walls PI team along with the Center for the Advancement of the Humanities and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs announced the second seed grant opportunity for Marquette faculty interested in applying for the HWW Grand Research Challenge grants.  

The partners are supporting faculty grant writing during the summer of 2022 in advance of final GRC team proposal submissions to HWW in November 2022.

The seed grant proposals should be submitted to HWW via email by Monday, May 2.

In addition, HWW Principal Investigator Dr. Antoinette Burton (director of the Humanities Research Institute and professor of history and gender and women’s studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign), alongside Dr. Jenny Davis (HWW consultant on ethical methods and reciprocal community partnerships and director of the American Indian studies program and associate professor of anthropology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign) will join virtually on Monday, April 4, at 11:30 a.m. for a conversation about lessons learned from the selection cycle of HWW’s 2021 Grand Research Challenge.
