‘A Discussion on Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine’ panel, March 23, 24 

March 17, 2022

The Klingler College of Arts and Sciences and the Interdisciplinary Major in International Affairs are co-hosting a two-night panel discussion entitled, “A Discussion on Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine,” on Wednesday, March 23, and Thursday, March 24, in Clark Hall room 111. 

  • Panel No. 1: “The Role of History, Politics, and Identity in Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine” | March 23 from 4-5:30 p.m. 
    • Dr. Eugenia Afinoguénova, chair and professor of Spanish in the Klinger College of Arts and Sciences
    • Dr. Alan Ball, professor of history in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences 
    • Dr. Lowell Barrington, associate professor of political science in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
    • Zachary Dmyterko, The Ukrainian Weekly, Marquette alumnus
  • Panel No. 2: “International Politics and Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine” | March 24 from 4-5:30 p.m. 
    • Dr. Mark Berlin, assistant professor of political science in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
    • Dr. Risa Brooks, associate professor of political science in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
    • Major General (Ret.) Brian Winski, former commander of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army
    • Dr. Jessica Wolfendale, chair and professor of philosophy in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences

Guests can attend one or both nights. Register online to attend.
