The Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach will host a Soup with Substance event on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at noon in room 163 of the Alumni Memorial Union.
As part of the event, Holly Burgess, a Ph.D. candidate in English at Marquette, will present her research on police brutality and revolutionary violence. The title of her presentation is “‘Death in These Streets: Revolution and Violence from the Black Power Movement to the Black Lives Matter Movement.”
