Tussler

The Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education will host “On the Issues: Sherrie Tussler” virtually on Monday, Feb. 21, at 12:15 p.m.

The event will feature a discussion between Alan Borsuk, Marquette Law School’s senior fellow in law and public policy, and Sherrie Tussler of the Hunger Task Force. Tussler has been the executive director of the Hunger Task Force nonprofit serving Milwaukee since 1997.

The pandemic has created many stresses for children and adults, and there has also been a significant inflow of federal money to address food shortages. Borsuk will talk with Tussler about lessons learned about food programs, more effective ways to distribute food, how to improve the quality of food available to people, and how hunger could be reduced in the future.

The live, virtual discussion will be available via the “Watch Now” button on the event’s home page.
