Marquette alumna Katharine (Hackbarth) Schenck was named the Physician Assistant of the Year by the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants.
The award honors a WAPA member who demonstrates excellence in each of the following categories: service to patients, involvement in the community, promoting the PA profession and efforts to teach future PAs (current or prospective students).
Fellow alumna Miranda DeThier was named the first Physician Assistant Preceptor of the Year. This award is given to a PA with a minimum of three years as a preceptor for a Wisconsin PA program who was nominated by a WAPA member or PA student.
