The seventh annual Dreamers Gala will take place on Friday, March 25, 2022, in the AMU ballrooms. This student-led event brings together students, administrators, faculty, staff, Jesuits and community members in a beautiful celebration of the accomplishments and resilience of our undocumented or “DACAmented” students. It is also the primary funding mechanism for the Ignacio Ellacuria, S.J. Dreamers Scholarship, which provides much-needed financial assistance to Marquette’s Dreamers.
This year’s theme, “We Will Rise Up,” celebrates the resilience and perseverance of our Dreamers during a year filled with trials and highlights our stance of solidarity with them as we work toward a more just future.
Registration opens in January. More information is available online or through staff co-chairs Jacki Black, director for Hispanic initiatives and diversity and inclusion educational programming, and Tiffany Fulford, coordinator for cultural engagement programs and services.
