The Center for the Advancement of the Humanities will host a Soup with Substance on the spirituality of addiction and recovery on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at noon in AMU 157.
Dr. Andrew Kim, director of the Center for the Advancement of the Humanities and associate professor of theology, presents the thesis held by several scholars that “everyone is an addict.” Dr. Kim argues against this thesis and supports the counter thesis that addiction is a communal and spiritual disease.
