Campus Ministry will host a Soup with Substance in honor of Black Catholic History Month on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at noon.
Samira Payne, director of Black student initiatives, and Dr. Kimo Ah Yun, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, will address the following questions:
- How does a Catholic, Jesuit institution honor the cultural and faith traditions of Black, Black Christian and Black Catholic students?
- How is Black History recognized within Catholic History?
- How do Black Christian and Black Catholic faith communities offer accountability to this Catholic, Jesuit university in terms of living out its mission?
