Office of Faculty Affairs to host several Faculty Activities Database CMS presentations

The Office of Faculty Affairs is coordinating a review of the Faculty Activities Database (FAD) activity tracker Content Management System (CMS). Later this week and in early November, they will host providers of competing content management systems to evaluate product offerings.

A representative Task Force co-chaired by Dr. Gary Meyer, senior vice provost for faculty affairs, and Dr. Scott C. D’Urso, chair of communication studies and strategic communication, will seek input from faculty and non-faculty administrators across campus as part of an inclusive process to ensure the selection of the right CMS to satisfy campus needs.

Three providers were selected to come to campus and demonstrate their product and services:

  1. Interfolio on Thursday, Oct. 28
  1. APL nextED on Thursday, Nov. 4
  1. Watermark Insights, our current provider, on Tuesday, Nov. 9

The Task Force will host multiple sessions during their visits, both in-person (limited availability) and virtually. All presentations will be recorded and made available for later viewing. Following each campus visit, Marquette constituents can view recordings of the vendor presentations and provide feedback by visiting the FAD Review website. Feedback will be used by the Task Force to generate a recommendation to the Provost. Keep an eye out for additional information and invitations to participate in the weeks.
