Search committees named for next Dean of Libraries, Dean of College of Nursing and Vice President for Inclusive Excellence

Provost Kimo Ah Yun has named search committees to identify the next permanent Dean of Libraries, Dean of College of Nursing and Vice President for Inclusive Excellence. Each committee is comprised of faculty, staff, students and trustees.

Dean of Libraries Search Committee

The committee will be chaired by Dr. Deirdre Dempsey, associate professor of theology. In addition to Dempsey, the committee members include:

  • Dr. Heidi Bostic, dean of the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education
  • Dr. Joya Crear, acting vice president for inclusive excellence
  • Alissa Fial, research and instructional services librarian
  • Darren Jackson, Marquette Board of Trustees emeritus member
  • Dr. Abiola Keller, assistant professor of nursing
  • Archie MacGregor, doctoral student in theology
  • Rev. Thomas McNulty, S.J., scholar in residence in the Center for Peacemaking
  • Dr. Bryan Rindfleisch, associate professor of history
  • Edward Sanchez, department head of library information technology
  • Darwin Sanders, microcomputer technician in library information technology
  • Dr. Robert Scheidt, professor of biomedical engineering

Dean of College of Nursing Search Committee

The committee will be chaired by Dr. Lisa Hanson, professor of nursing. In addition to Hanson, the committee members include:

  • Anne Costello, director of the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Center for Clinical Simulation
  • Dr. Juanita (Terrie) Garcia, project director of nursing
  • Dr. Nicholas Jolly, associate professor of economics
  • Dr. Kelli Jones, clinical assistant professor of nursing
  • Dr. Mary Beth Kingston, chief nursing officer of Advocate Aurora Health
  • Rev. Jeffrey LaBelle, S.J., associate professor of educational policy and leadership
  • Virginia Riggs, doctoral student of nursing
  • Dr. Karen Robinson, interim assistant dean for graduate programs
  • Dr. Christine Schindler, clinical associate professor of nursing
  • Peggy Troy, Marquette Board of Trustees member, president and chief executive officer of Children’s Wisconsin
  • Dr. Douglas Woods, vice provost for graduate and professional studies, dean of the Graduate School, and professor of psychology

Vice President for Inclusive Excellence Search Committee

The committee will be chaired by Dr. Nakia Gordon, associate professor of psychology. In addition to Gordon, the committee members include:

  • Jacqueline Black, director of Hispanic initiatives and diversity and inclusion educational programming
  • Rev. Ryan Duns, S.J., assistant professor of theology
  • Dr. Sarah Feldner, dean of the Diederich College of Communication
  • Cameron Heiser, student and executive vice president of MUSG
  • Nancy Hernandez, Marquette Board of Trustees member, president of the Hispanic Collaborative
  • Kristen Kreple, Title IX coordinator
  • Vincent Lyles, Marquette board of trustees member, system vice president of community relations at Advocate Aurora Health
  • Kali Murray, professor of law
  • Dr. Jennifer Reid, interim assistant vice president of student affairs
  • Dr. Robert Smith, Harry G. John Professor of History and director of CURTO
  • Dr. John Su, vice provost for academic affairs
