Campus ministry invites sophomores through graduate students of all faiths to participate in the Marquette Experience Retreat (MUEX). The Retreat begins Friday, Nov. 12, at 5 p.m., and students will return to campus Sunday, Nov. 14, at noon.
One of the university’s longest-running retreats, MUEX is a community-oriented weekend rooted in the Ignatian ideals that shape Marquette University. The retreat focuses on two major topics:
- What has my Marquette experience been like so far? How am I called to carry it forward?
- How can Ignatian values draw me closer to God and into greater authenticity in my life?
Ignatian values come to life through students’ stories, small group conversations and compelling activities and prayers. MUEX is perfect for students discerning how to live more fully on campus and beyond.
The retreat will take place at Lutherdale Ministries, a camp and retreat center located on the Lauderdale Lakes in Elkhorn, Wis. There is abundant land to walk and explore, big sports fields and a large chapel. The retreat center features comfortable bedrooms, a full kitchen and a lounge for games, music and gathering.
MUEX costs $20, which covers transportation, food and lodging. Financial assistance is readily available; visit the Retreat FAQ page for more information.
Register and learn more on the MUEX website. Registration closes on Friday, Oct. 29, or when the retreat is full.
