Raynor Memorial Libraries is hosting a food drive from Oct. 11 to Oct. 21 to benefit the Backpack Program. Members of the community are invited to donate nonperishable lunch and snack items — such as soup cans, fruit cups, juice packs and crackers — at collection bins in the Raynor lobby as well as at the AMU information desk. Cash gifts are also welcome; please visit the program’s online donation page to make a donation. All donations will support current students who are challenged with food insecurities.
The Backpack Program is a free, confidential service that provides groceries to any Marquette student having difficulty accessing affordable, nutritious food and other household essentials. Questions about the food drive can be directed to Liz Wawrzyniak.
