Raynor Memorial Libraries and the Marquette Core Curriculum will co-sponsor a screening of ‘A24’s The Green Knight’ on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Weasler Auditorium.
The film is based on the timeless medieval classic, in which Green Knight tells the story of Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew and it is described as “a fresh and bold spin on a classic tale from the knights of the round table.”
The screening will be followed by a roundtable discussion featuring:
- Dr. Gerry Canavan, associate professor of English
- William Fliss, associate archivist, Raynor Memorial Libraries
- Dr. Lezlie Knox, chair and associate professor of English
- Dr. Jacob Riyeff, visiting assistant professor of English
- Dr. Yelizaveta (Liza) Strakhov, assistant professor of English
