Residence hall move-in volunteers needed

The Office of Residence Life is looking for students, faculty and staff to help welcome students back to campus. Volunteer support is critical to welcoming new and returning students back to campus to set the tone for a new year.

Many of our sophomore students did not live with us last year and are moving in for the first time. Let’s help welcome them to campus.

Faculty and staff who are able to help on Friday, Aug. 27, are encouraged to do so. Any amount of help is appreciated.

Arrivals for first-year students will be Tuesday, Aug. 24, through Wednesday, Aug. 25. Second-year students will return beginning on Friday, Aug. 27, through Sunday, Aug. 29.

Support will include tasks like staffing check in stations, providing directions to students and families, and staffing elevators. This service is invaluable in making students and families feel welcomed to the campus family.

Sign up to volunteer by Aug. 20 at 4:30 p.m.

With questions, contact Tracy Gerth-Antoniewicz, assistant director of residence life education.
