Office of Student Development casting auditions for New Student Orientation play; students will receive $500 stipend for participating

The Office of Students Development, specifically the Student Wellness and Prevention Center and New Student and Family Programs, are excited to announce a call for auditions for “Marquette Now Trending, a virtual orientation program for August 2021!  

Auditions will take place virtually on: 

  • Friday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to noon 
  • Monday, May 17, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • Tuesday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to noon 

Requirements: 

  • Four to five virtual rehearsals via Microsoft Teams 
  • Recording session in early summer 
  • Student actors must memorize the script  
  • Student actors must embody values outlined in the script

The ideal student will have some experience in acting or public speaking. Currently there is a need for one to two individuals to be cast, but experience is not required. Individuals of all backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Auditions will be open to all students.  

Individuals who are cast will receive a stipend of $500 for their work on this project.
