Marquette’s Biosafety Committee seeking one Milwaukee community member to join; submit nominations

The Marquette University Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) is currently seeking one Milwaukee community member to fulfill its membership requirements with the National Institutes of Health Guidelines.

IBC community members cannot be affiliated with the university, and should represent the interests of the surrounding community with respect to the environment and public health.

To submit nominations and with questions, contact Tara Kniep, research and compliance coordinator.

The IBC meets monthly for up to two hours to review and discusses new protocols as well as modifications and renewals for currently approved protocols. The committee is expected to have read the previously sent materials for each meeting and be prepared to discuss any issues they may have found. Learn more about the IBC.
