Applications for Rev. John P. Raynor, S.J. Endowed Chair due May 27

The Rev. John P. Raynor, S.J. Endowed Chair is funded through endowment funds through the Office of the Provost and awarded on a rotating three-year cycle to a tenured faculty member who exemplifies research excellence and scholarly leadership in pursuit of the university mission 

Criteria for selection include: 

  • A record of past and current scholarly accomplishments
  • Impact of the candidate’s research program on their discipline, the community, Marquette students, etc.
  • Plans for campus leadership in research during the Raynor Chair term

The Raynor Chair will receive a stipend of $20,000 and up to $30,000 in operating or equipment funds each year to support their research program. It is expected that part of the operating budget will be used to execute the recipient’s planned research leadership activities.  

Application requirements include a statement of review and approval by chair and dean. Applications are due by Thursday, May 27.
