‘Racialized Survivals and the Pathways to Justice’ symposium is May 4 and 6

The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures will host a symposium titled “Racialized Survivals and the Pathways to Justice,” on Tuesday, May 4, and Thursday, May 6, at 3:30 p.m.  

The symposium is the final research project of the undergraduate students in the course “Survival and the Lives that Matter.” The presentation will address the myriad of injustices that affect historically underrepresented, racialized groups such as Black, Latinx and Indigenous people. Topics include Latinx histories and education, Indigenous resistance and self-determination, and Black struggles with health care disparities and incarcerations.
