Nighttime Examen Prayers will take place on April 29 and May 5

Nighttime Examen Prayer opportunities will take place on Thursday, April 29, at 9 p.m., and on Wednesday, May 5at 9 p.m. in the garden outside of St. Joan of Arc.

The Nighttime Examen Prayer is a time for students to sit back and relax in the garden outside of St. Joan of Arc at night and be led through a reflection of their day with the Examen prayer. The tradition began in fall 2020 while looking for ways to gather safely within COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

The Examen Prayer was thought by St. Ignatius of Loyola to be a time for us to become more present and disciplined to the experience of God in everyday living, and to encourage us to live more consciously in and of the presence of God in our daily lives.

Ignatius considered this to be the most important prayer we can do. The Examen is an opportunity to spend a few moments reviewing our day, paying special attention to the moments to feel God’s presence, and conversely, becoming aware of the times when we felt separated from God.

All are welcome attend. Registration is available online.
