New instructor options for Microsoft Teams sites will be available for summer and fall

IT Services will continue to create Microsoft Teams sites for all class sections in the summer 2021 and fall 2021 terms. The creation process for summer Teams will begin in April, and the process for fall Teams will begin in July. 

Instructors will now have more control over the creation of their Teams. In the CheckMarq Faculty Center, instructors can now opt out of the automated Teams creation process for any of their class sections. If a Team has already been created, instructors will be able to take manual control of the Team membership or delete the Team entirely. 

These new options may be useful to instructors who wish to create their own Teams apart from the automated process. 

Instructors who wish to opt out for a summer 2021 class section should do so before April 19.
