The university encourages all students, faculty and staff to download MUPD’s free safety app, EagleEye, as an added layer of security.
The EagleEye app features a mobile BlueLight feature, which allows users to press a button in the app that connects them directly to MUPD and sends the device’s location in real-time, as long as location services are turned on and the user is on campus.
It also recently integrated the “TransLoc” app for the university’s EagleExpress program. The app allows riders to see scheduled arrival times, track EagleExpress vans in the area and pin your favorite stops. More information on the EagleExpress program is available on the Department of Campus Safety’s website.
EagleEye also includes a Friend Walk feature, which allows students to track their friends’ locations from point A to point B.
Additional features of the free app include:
- Safety alerts
- Emergency contacts
- Safety toolbox
- Emergency procedures guide
- Support resources
- Social media links
The app is free and available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android; it can also be found by searching “Marquette EagleEye” in either app store.
