The next event in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Spotlight Series will be Wednesday, April 14, at 6 p.m.
In honor of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month, this session will feature Gadeer Ayesh, a first generation Arab American and former president of Students for Justice in Palestine. Gadeer is also depicted in the mural “Our Roots Say That We’re Sisters,” designed by artist Mauricio Ramirez. Gadeer will share her story and speak on her experiences as an Arab woman.
To register or with questions, contact Jeydelyn Martinez, office associate of Student Support Services (SSS).
The EOP Spotlight Series connects and empowers current EOP/SSS students and underrepresented students on campus. Students meet with EOP/SSS alumni to hear about their time as a Marquette student, challenges they faced and leadership opportunities in which they participated.
