The Black Student Union (BSU) along with MUSG and the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures will host “Poetry Night with Congresswoman Gwen Moore” on Friday, April 23, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Register via Eventbrite.
Representative Moore has been a powerful voice for change in Milwaukee and in Congress ever since her graduation from Marquette in 1978. At this gathering, Moore will present original poetry, allowing listeners to hear a different side of her. Following the reading, the BSU invites all student poets to share poetry and ask questions.
